My wife was visited a couple of weeks ago by a kid from here in Clarksville. His name is Victor Vasquez, and he is starting a small-scale landscaping company. He is quite knowledgable and does Landscape Design, Mowing, Trimming and edging, Clean-up, Sod Installation, Drainage solutions, Irrigation systems, Garden Ponds, Outdoor lighting, Aeration and fertilizing, Over-seeding, Weed control, Installation, and Maintenance of all your yard-type work. He is also knowledgable of those of us who are persuing permaculture and will make sure to save back the clippings for you, just make sure you let him know before hand.  Life in Clarksville is considerably slower than say,,,New York, but it is much more fun and let's you get back to the way life should be. I could not imagine living anywhere else at this time of my life. Just off of main street is a little coffee shop called 'Joco Java' where the coffee is hot, the food is quaint and on some nights the music is a bit green.
The Ozark Celtic Band plays a jig or two and the next thing you know, the whole place is dancing. I long to see the Emerald Isle (Roisin Dubh for those of us in the know) and OCB really delivers. Complete with harp, tin whistle, guitar, mandolin and even a bodhran, feet are tapping, hands clapping and children enjoy the light up-beat tempo that plays even tickles the ears.
They are regulars here and you can catch them two or three times a month, but come early, people bring their families and children so it gets tight very fast. With 10 or more kids whirling like dervishes it's hard to restrain the occasional grin that tugs at the corners of your mouth, or even a loud laugh, which is good for the soul.
